The Midwestern Innocence Project |
Wrongful convictions are far more common than most people believe. And not surprisingly, it is far more difficult to get innocent people out of prison than it was to put them in.
The Midwestern Innocence Project (MIP) is an organization of lawyers, law students, and volunteers who evaluate prisoners' claims of innocence and seek an exoneration. There is a large number of claims to review and the resources needed to pursue an exoneration borders on overwhelming. MIP needs your help to carry on this important work.
This fundraiser is an opportunity to strengthen MIP and increase its ability to process the many cries for help waiting to be answered. We hope you will join us on September 25 for a "Dramatic & Inspiring Evening." Your contribution will be well-used to recruit and train more lawyers, journalists and students to help exonerate wrongly convicted individuals in Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.
The Midwestern Innocence Project is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization dedicated to providing pro bono legal and investigative services to the innocent in prison. |
